The clock tower of Helsinki Central Railway Station is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. When it was completed in 1919, it was the tallest tower in Helsinki, with tickets sold to visitors for the panoramic view.
In 2025, we will continue this tradition. We will offer guided tours where you can explore the architecture, cultural history, and thousands of stories behind the building designed by Eliel Saarinen.
There are two options for reaching the top of the tower. You can climb the couple of hundred steps to the top, or you can take the new elevator built during the station’s renovation. Even with the elevator, you’ll need to climb the final steps by foot.
